CHAPTER 63: THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION

( Episode 14)

When Mitzi attended high school and college, she learned a new theory of how Plastickind had come to be.

According to this theory plastic people had evolved from lower life forms.

Stone Age.

Rag Age.

Late Bisque Age.

She can still recall the professor's lecture: "Only in recent years has the possible missing link between non-plastic life forms and modern people been uncovered. Although no intact specimen has yet been uncovered, the many photographs uncovered from archeological digs indicate that toward the end of the Bisque age a new biped appeared on the scene bearing many characteristics similar to those of modern plastickind.

"She was nicknamed Betty B. by the archeologists that uncovered the first evidence of her existence.

"In support of the theory that she is a common ancestor of modern people, in recent years there have been a number of mutations in the plastic gene-pool, probably latent gene lines running back to Betty B."

Mom: "Don't stare, honey. It's very impolite."

"But their heads...."

"Shhh. Pretend you don't notice."
