CHAPTER 79: A CAUTIONARY TALE

EPISODE EIGHTEEN: WHEN IRUSH EYES ARE SMILING

Mitzi, indecisive about whether to intervene or pretend she doesn't notice the altercation behind the coffee counter, suddenly spots a third--and preferable--alternative. The alternative is sitting by himself near the window with bottle of green beer in hand.

Yes, Finnegan has a right to be cautious. The police detective has been embarrassed a time or two by Mitzi and her--shall we say--fertile imagination. But Mitzi is undeterred, the way plastic people sometimes are when a dear or near one's life is at stake.

Oh, I'm glad you like Finnegan! He needs fans. Life is tough for him, what with a wife who was abducted by aliens and his trials with Mitzi. Thanks for popping in!
